At the Chantilly Arts and Elegance event in France, Italian coachbuilder
Zagato unveiled its latest one-off project: the Aston Martin Virage Shooting
Brake. Following the debut of the Lamborghini 5-95, this is Zagato's second
premiere in 2014.
This one-of-a-kind car was commissioned by an European client who desired an "atelier-level, collectible modern car".
Its exterior represents a break in traditional modern Aston Martin design that has characterized all Zagato cars since the introduction of the DB7. According to the Italian designers, the car is modern interpretation of the '80s Aston Martin V8 Vantage and Volante.
The Aston Martin Virage Shooting Brake completes the Aston Martin-Zagato centennial trilogy designed to celebrate 100 years of Aston Martin, which started in 2013 with the DBS Coupe Zagato Centennial and DB9 Spider Zagato Centennial.
