Today's modern estates are assertive and discrete, useful for both work and
recreation. Sometimes, they also have elegant design and even a lifestyle image.
But even rarer, they also show real sportiness, as is the case with the ABT RS6.
The German tuner claims that the ABT RS6 is the perfect mix of sportiness,
elegance and usefulness and is therefore omnipotent.
"Our version of the Audi RS6 Avant is striking without being overbearing, is
understated and setting technical standards", says Hans-Jürgen Abt. For the CEO
of the renowned German tuning company, the RS6 is the embodiment of what is
currently technically possible. "This car will meet all our premium customers'
needs and wishes," Hans-Jürgen Abt adds. And the buyers of such an unusual car
want a travel companion, a torquey drudge and a sports car all in one and
without any compromise.
Thanks to ABT POWER S and decades of experience in motor sports, the ABT RS6 is
an extremely dynamic estate. With 700 hp (515 kW), this elegant car has a 25%
better performance than the original, which has 560 hp (412 kW). The top speed
is 200 mph (320 km/h). This is made possible through the innovative ABT engine
control unit, the ABT exhaust system and slight engine management modifications.
Torque is increased to 650 lb-ft (880 Nm).
This chic estate from Bavaria thus does not only pull it all, it also pulls it
off, as it were. It will reach 60 mph in no more than 3.3 seconds.
For those that would not need such extreme power, ABT offers a lightly less
powerful version: ABT POWER. This version also doesn't hide its racing DNA: 666
hp (490 kW) and a torque of 612 lb-ft (830 Nm) are very impressive.
Exterior Design: New Icon?
According to ABT, the ABT RS6 can become an automotive icon. If you look at the
mirror caps made of exposed carbon, you can see that "sport" is the operative
term here in "transport". Combined with the stainless-steel exhaust silencer
system with the two striking tailpipes and suspension springs, they render the
ABT RS6 dynamic in a discreet fashion.
"This car is a wolf in sheep's clothing," is how Hans-Jürgen Abt describes his
super sports car in a "bespoke suit", made even better by the weight-optimized
ABT ER-C design wheels in 9.5 x 20 or 10 x 22 inches. The five double spokes
show the tuned 4.0 TFSI's forward thrust even when the car is still standing:
one spoke per pair is bent, which symbolizes motion. It goes without saying that
this premium wheel for especially fast cars is also available with
high-performance super sport-type wheels.
