The BMW 2 Series from the German company Tuningwerk develops 444 horsepower
and comes with many enhancements, making it a serious street-legal track car.
The BMW M235i RS, as it is called, was equipped with a carbon fiber body kit that includes a front lip spoiler, a rear diffuser and a large rear wing. High-performance brakes, an improved cooling system and 18-inch forged wheels with wider Dunlop SportMaxx RT tires were also installed.
Inside, customers of the BMW M235i RS will find Recaro PolePosition bucket seats coupled with a carbon fiber trim and a sports steering wheel.
For serious track use, the prospective buyers can opt for a roll cage, six-point seat belts and additional car body stiffening and struts.
Tuningwerk made sure that the BMW M235i RS goes as fast as it looks. Along with the aforementioned improvements to the engine cooling system, the coupe is also equipped with a sports clutch, stainless steel exhaust with sound valve and double tail pipes, modified aluminum oil pan, and of course comes with modifications to the ECU. These upgrades allow the 3.0-liter inline-six turbo engine to output 444 horsepower and 442 lb-ft (600 Nm) of torque. The car accelerates to 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds and to 120 mph in 15.4 seconds.
Optionally, the German tuner can also install a secondary turbocharger, further increasing the engine output.
The model is available in Germany at a starting price of 65,000 EUR ($88,400 at today's exchange rates).
