When someone wants to modify a car from a high-end manufacturer like Ferrari,
there is always a chance that the product will look worse than the original.
That is why Capristo, a German company well known for their exhaust systems,
decided to refine the original form of the Ferrari 458 Spider, and not change it
After Capristo announced in January the launch of a new engine cover they've designed for the Italian open-top sports car, new images have now been released.
Besides the cover, which now offers a better view of the engine bay (apparently Ferrari customers didn't like the original one which covers the engine quite significantly), the 458 Spider by Capristo also gets new flanks built into the hood on each sides. These flanks help cool the engine and bring more air into the intake, which increases the engine torque by approx. 20 lb-ft.
The conversion set, naturally built in carbon fiber, costs 9,800 EUR or $13,500 at today's exchange rate.
