After several teasers, the German tuner DMC finally unveiled their $288,888 Edizione GT package for the Lamborghini Aventador. This is their Stage 3 tune, and arrives after the Stage 1 (Molto Veloce) and Stage 2 (Spezial Version) tuning packages. It's completely street legal.

The majority of the $288,888 customers will need to pay for the package can be attributed to the body kit ($89,990) and the engine upgrade ($134,530).

The inspiration for this kit came from the Lamborghini Veneno hypercar unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The Veneno influence is especially apparent at the rear. Apart from the massive rear diffuser, the Aventador by DMC also features a wide rear wing and a unique exhaust setup with a carbon-fiber insert.

The package is completed with a full array of tunnels and flaps, all located on the parts mentioned above, truly making the car stand out uniquely in its future home.

Each unit is strictly limited to only one color and/or style, making every one of them unique. DMC won't sell the same color kit twice.

A set of forged alloy wheels and a new suspension keep this beast on the road.

The package is finalized with exclusive interior refinements using Italian leather and lots of carbon fiber.

While DMC's previous engine modifications were achieved through individual intake throttle plates for each of the 12 cylinders, new fuel pumps, fuel lines, modulators and injection nozzles, the LP 988 has a twin-turbo setup in combination with a reprogrammed ECU.
