Mazda Introduces LM55 Concept for Gran Turismo 6

Published: Thu Dec 25, 2014 by Marko P.  |  Source: Mazda

Mazda has released a virtual sports car developed for the Gran Turismo 6 racing simulation game available on PlayStation 3.

In 1991, Mazda achieved an overall win at the famed Le Mans 24 hour race. This was the first victory ever for a rotary engine as well as for a Japanese car in this prestigious race. This racing car pays homage to the history, while combining the spirit of ambition and challenge for the future.

For the design of the "LM55," the Mazda Design team blended agility with elegance in the car's dynamic silhouette. While iterating Mazda's KODO design language on the front face, its stance is reminiscent of the famed 787B race car.

Players can purchase the car from the Vision GT area within the CARS section in "My Home". Alternatively, it is also possible to obtain the car by completing a lap (regardless of the lap time) in the new Seasonal Event, available only for a limited time.
