German tuner Gemballa has unveiled a 710-horsepower (720 PS) Porsche Panamera that is
able to hit a top speed of 211 mph (340 km/h).
During independent tests on a closed-off airport
in Germany, the Porsche Panamera Turbo GTP 720 achieved a new acceleration
record for road-legal cars in its weight category and a new lap record at the Sachsenring
circuit for Panamera-based cars, which now stands at 1:37.08.
The four-door saloon can accelerate to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds, a whole
second faster than a standard version.
Gemballa GTP 720 vs. Standard Porsche Panamera Turbo
0-60 mph: 3.1 s - 4.1 s
0-124 mph: 9.7 s - 12.7 s
0-186 mph: 26.4 s - 60 s
"This exceptional performance is not only due to the car's horse power but also
to its torque, raised by 188 lb (255 Nm) and available over a wide range of revs," says
Gemballa CEO Andreas Schwarz.
