The new five-door Audi S1 Sportback comes as standard with quattro all-wheel
drive and a 230-hp turbo engine.
Peak output of the 2015 Audi S1 registers at 231 hp and 272 lb-ft of torque, which is enough to power the S1 Sportback to 60 mph in just 5.7 seconds. Audi hasn't officially confirmed the transmission options, but judging by the media reports, the S1 will come with a standard 6-speed manual and an optional 7-speed double-clutch automatic.
The car will be available in Germany in the second quarter of 2014 at a price of 30,800 EUR or $42,000.
Key rivals of the new Audi S1 Sportback include the MINI John Cooper Works Coupe, Renault Clio RS a and the Ford Fiesta ST.
