German tuner AC Schnitzer has unveiled a performance upgrade to 510 hp for
the new BMW M4, along with an extensive exterior kit. The
series M3/M4 develops 425 hp.
The performance upgrade was achieved mainly with modifications to the engine control unit. A few horsepower were also gained by installing a custom exhaust system with chrome or carbon end pipes.
AC Schnitzer carbon front spoiler elements, carbon rear diffuser, carbon mirror covers, rear roof spoiler and carbon rear wing provide visual drama while a suspension kit lowers the car by up to 40 mm.
The theme continues inside: AC Schnitzer aluminum pedal set and foot rests, AC Schnitzer keyholder, gear knob with digital gear display, illuminated leather gear knob or aluminum "Black Line" gear knob, aluminum "Black Line" handbrake handle, aluminum cover for the iDrive controller and velour floor mats are available in order to customize the cabin as well.
Also available are wheels in different designs and in up to 21 inch sizes.
