BMW has unveiled a set of M Performance Parts for the
new 567-horsepower X6 M sports activity coupe.
Among the features included in the range to accentuate the sporting appearance of the BMW X6 M are exclusive radiator and side grille ornamental trim with black slats, black frame and M logo imparting the distinctive BMW M Performance look. The standard chrome grilles can be swapped for the corresponding BMW M Performance Parts. Decals in the three signature M colors provide a direct link to the brand's racing heritage. The 2015 BMW X6 M can be ordered with rear fins in high-gloss black, which apparently also contribute to further improved aerodynamics, according to the German manufacturer.
Inside, the sense of sporting prowess on board can be sharpened by carbon fiber accessories such as BMW M Performance carbon interior trim strips, carbon trim bearing the BMW M logo for the selector lever of the eight-speed M Steptronic gearbox. center console trim with a high-quality combination of Alcantara and painted carbon around the selector lever.
Another highlight of the Accessories range for the interior of the BMW X6 M is the BMW M Performance steering wheel in Alcantara with attractive carbon trim. According to BMW, it is extremely grippy even in extreme driving situations and remains equally pleasant to the touch in all temperatures. The blue center marker at the top imparts a genuine motor sport feeling, a sensation underlined by BMW M Performance stainless steel pedal covers, which provide a visually appealing and functional complement to the other BMW M Performance Parts.
BMW M Performance floor mats, key case and hex bolt are also available.
The M Performance Parts do not include any engine performance enhancements. Most owners likely won't need more power, as the twin-turbo V8 in the BMW X6 M is the most powerful engine ever developed by BMW for an all-wheel-drive vehicle. Boasting innovative M TwinPower Turbo technology with a pair of TwinScroll turbochargers, cross-bank exhaust manifolds, VALVETRONIC and High Precision Direct Injection, the 4.4-liter V8 produces maximum output of 567 hp between 6,000 and 6,500 rpm. Peak torque has been boosted by 53 lb-ft to 553 lb-ft which equates to a rise of 10 percent.
