The new Brabus program for the 2015 C220 BlueTEC includes aerodynamic
enhancements, tailor-made alloy wheels and a modest power upgrade. Also, a
stiffer suspension offers added vehicle dynamics while a custom-made interior
adds more exclusivity.
Outside, the package adds a sportily styled front spoiler which "also minimizes negative lift on the front axle", according to Brabus. Its aerodynamic counterpart at the rear is a discreet spoiler lip that the German tuner offers for the trunk lid. The diffuser-look Brabus insert for the rear bumper lends the rear a sportier appearance. What's more: the two cutouts on the left and right side provide the perfect backdrop for Brabus quad sport exhaust system.
Tailor-made Brabus tire/wheel combinations with diameters of 18, 19 and 20 inches are also a factor in the exclusive Brabus look for the new C-Class. The largest version features Brabus Monoblock F and R alloy wheels of size 8.5Jx20 at the front and of size 9.5Jx20 on the rear axle, combined with high-performance tires of sizes 225/35 ZR20 and 255/30 ZR20.
For the interior, the Brabus upholstery shop can craft precision fine leather interiors from soft and breathable leather and Alcantara by hand. In addition, the Brabus product program offers an extensive line-up of custom accessories such as aluminum pedals and velour floor mats with Brabus logo.
Brabus lowering kits and sports suspensions with sporty-comfortable tuning for the new C-Class were developed in cooperation with Bilstein.
The Brabus PowerXtra D3 performance kit for the Mercedes C220 BlueTEC is currently under development. Its installation will boost the power output of the four-cylinder turbodiesel engine from 170 hp to 218 hp. Peak torque will jump from 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) to 332 lb-ft (450 Nm). The added power will shorten the 0-60 mph sprint to 6.9 seconds while the top speed will increase to 149 mph (240 km/h).
