Nissan engineers have created a one-off Juke NISMO RS, prepared specifically
for deep show.
Fitted with 815-pound (370 kilogram) DOMINATOR Track Systems snow tracks, the Juke NISMO RSnow is capable of speeds of more than 50 mph (85 km/h) in Arctic conditions as cold as -31 degrees F (-35 C). The all-wheel car can deal with up to 20 inches (50 centimeters) of deep powder snow, as tested on the frozen Uddjaur Lake in Arjeplog on the Swedish side of Lapland.
Besides the snow tracks, the engineers have also made minor modifications to the front and rear fascias, and reprogramed the vehicle's torque-vectoring AWD system.
Although the Juke NISMO RSnow is just a fun project of a few enthusiastic Nissan engineers and there are no plans for series production, this all-conquering machine would probably come handy to the inhabitants of Lapland, which is covered with deep snow for most of the year.
