The British sports car brand Trident has unleashed a 395-hp Iceni Magna
sports car, dubbed the "world's fastest and most fuel efficient diesel sports
With a top speed in excess of over 190 mph and the ability to run for 2000 miles on a single tank of mineral or bio-diesel, the Iceni uses torque multiplication technology to achieve this unique combination of speed, power and fuel efficiency.
In addition to a base Iceni sports car, two new models to the Iceni range were also unveiled, the Iceni Magna (fastback) and Iceni Venturer (estate). All three models boast the same impressive spec, each with its own distinctive design. In addition, the cars can store a minimum of two suitcases, as well as two holdalls, making a 2000-mile road trip a reality.
Phil Bevan, designer and founder of Trident said that the "Trident cars deliver incredible speed and performance combined with outstanding fuel efficiency, achieved through our unique torque multiplication technology."
The three Iceni sports cars are available to buy globally with prices starting from 96,000 GBP ($160,000). A fully loaded Iceni costs around 126,000 GBP ($208,000).
The British designed Trident sports cars boast a distinctive look, with clean curves and the unusual sculpted rear. The cars also incorporate over thirty-nine bespoke, designed and manufactured components, including independent control of each car seat and oculight roof. In addition, every Iceni can be built to specific customer spec, ensuring a truly unique driving experience.
Performance and Track Packages
In its standard form, the Trident Iceni is available with a 6.6-liter V8 turbodiesel engine with 396 hp and 700 lb-ft (949 Nm) of torque which is enough to propel the car to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds and for a top speed of 190 mph (305 km/h).
For those who are more demanding, Trident also offers a Performance and Track packages. The optional Performance package increases the output to 430 hp and 950 lb-ft (1,286 Nm) of torque, while the Track package ups the ante to 660 hp and 1,050 lb-ft (1,422 Nm).
There's also a Luxury upgrade package offering a two-tone Alcantara and leather interior, heated mirrors, smoked roof and a Clarion multimedia system with seven-inch display. Moreover, a Premium package adds carbon fiber accents inside the cabin, electric seats and a heated windscreen.
