Volkswagen has given a sleek new look to its Scirocco R hatchback coupe which will also feature a more powerful and efficient engine in the 2015 model year. The updated model will

Scirocco R's Exterior Design
Aggressive design and upholstery elements characterize the top model in the series, the Scirocco R. This is equally true for the design of the front and rear aprons in motorsport look and for the wheels.
The three large, glossy black air inlets, the standard bi-xenon headlights, the LED daytime running lights and the LED indicators attract attention at the front. At the side, the R model features door mirror housings in "matt chrome", side sill extensions with "R" styling and brake calipers painted black with a "R" logo.
At the rear, the twin chrome tailpipes and the larger roof edge spoiler clearly indicate the nature of this car, while the large air outlets in the bumper are completely new.
The standard 18-inch wheel for the Scirocco R was also redesigned. It is named "Cadiz" and is optionally available as a 19-inch version.
Interior of VW Scirocco R
Like the exterior, the interior of the Scirocco R was redesigned by Volkswagen R GmbH.
The individualized features include the "Race" seat covers with the "R" logo and decorative stitching in crystal grey, the black roofliner, decorative "Carbon Race" inlays, applications in glossy "Piano Black" (radio faceplate, multifunction leather sport steering wheel and door handles) and stainless steel pedals. The specific "R" instrument needles are blue and the aluminum door sill plates are complemented by an "R" logo.
The 2015 Scirocco R is available with the newest Volkswagen four-cylinder engine which fulfills the stringent EU6 emissions standard.
The top-of-the-line Volkswagen hatchback has 280 horsepower, which is 15 horsepower more than on the previous model.
Available as standard with a 6-speed manual gearbox, the Scirocco R can also be equipped with an optional dual-clutch gearbox (DSG).
