Project Kilo is the code name for a special 641-horsepower 650S Coupe that
was one of the most challenging projects for the Special Operations
The car features an extensive list of carbon fiber options including the roof, diffuser, vent bezels, bespoke branded sill panels and instrument cluster bezel with integrated shift lights.
Such was the attention to detail that even the aluminum water and oil filler caps were covered in McLaren Orange logos, while the interior switches were all painted in the same color as the exterior. A 24 carat gold plated exhaust heatshield keeps the heat away from any delicate components.
Finishing touches included a personal dedication plate on the driver's door, a pair of bespoke designed keys, wheel center caps painted with a McLaren Orange speed mark and lightweight titanium wheels nuts.
The Kiwi on the engine cover is a reference to New Zealand, the birth place of the company's founder, Bruce McLaren.
