McLaren's Special Operations division has unveiled another personalized
P1 supercar, this time in a devilish black
and red theme.
The exterior is a somewhat accurate representation of the McLaren-Honda MP4-30 Formula 1 racer in terms of the color combo, even though the F1 car features more of a graphite gray than black. The rear wing, lightweight wheels and the roof scoop also adopt a similar two-tone finish, while the black rear diffuser features red accents.
Inside, the steering wheel insert, air vents, dashboard cover, part of the door and seat stitching are in red while the rest of the cabin has remained black.
Even though this P1 has a left-hand drive layout, it's reportedly heading to an owner in United Kingdom.
The P1 was introduced in 2013 with the goal of being "the best driver's car in the world on road and track". It features a petrol-electric powertrain comprising a substantially revised 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 petrol engine, coupled to a single electric motor, collectively known as M838TQ. Combined power output is 916 hp. Top speed is electronically limited to 217 mph (350 km/h), with the 0-60 mph standing start acceleration taking less than three seconds.
