Right now, Americans cannot have the Mercedes-Benz G550 4X4², but things will change early next year, as the brand is getting ready to roll out the first units on this side of the pond.
Making sure that those with deep pockets in search of an extremely capable off-road and a premium interior don't forget that, the car company's US division has released a new commercial with the G-Class that's highlighting its versatility to tackle just about every road surface.
"The G550 4X4² encourages you to exercise your freedom to go where no one else can. Explore the unexplored with the new king of luxury SUVs", the automaker writes in the text accompanying the video.
The potent four-by-four is expected to sit right under the $200,000 mark. Quite steep, but then again, it's a more tamed sibling of the monstrous G63 AMG 6x6 and pumps out 416 horsepower and 450 pound-feet (610 Nm) of torque that are channeled to the wheels through a 7-speed automatic gearbox.
