Here are three videos, from XCAR, EVO and Chris Harris, to help you
understand if the all-new baby-Mac
can deliver. Even though it's the least expensive, the 570S is a hugely
important model for McLaren - it's the model that will allow them to reach
production levels of about 4,000 units per year. It's also a new territory for
the British marque: the 570S is a daily sports car, rather than an occasionally
used super car like the 650S or the
P1.
The 570S Coupe combines a power output of 562 hp (570 PS) with light weight
construction to give a class leading power-to-weight ratio of 430 hp per tone.
It accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds, while 124 mph is reached in just
9.5 seconds with the pace not letting up till the car reaches a top speed of 204
mph (328 km/h).
